The International Society for Folk Narrative Research has a Committee on Charms, Charmers and Charming, which has put up a convenient website with links to indexes and surveys of charms across many cultures. The webpage is here:
The members of the committee are Mare Kõiva, Lea Olsan, Éva Pócs, Jonathan Roper, Emanuela Timotin, Andrey Toporkov, and Daiva Vaitkevičiene. (I know Lea Olsan, and think very highly of her as a scholar and as a person.)
There is also a free on-line scholarly journal on charms, charmers and charming, which is titled _Incantatio_. It is edited by the Committee plus Claude Lecouteux and Emanuela Timotin. It can be read online here:
