Today is a day with ambivalence built in. The USA is celebrating Thanksgiving, and its natives are saddened because this holiday reminds them of the unbridled genocide on their ancestors. I feel happy to see some family members I rarely get to see... but I don't like the reason for why this day is considered a holiday.

I saw several people calling this the Happy Turkey day... I doubt the turkeys would be happy with their fate, if they'd have the presence of mind to predict it.
I guess that's why we like to keep our animals dumb.
