I like the concept. One challenge I foresee is that an electricity deficit will get people hungry.

This feels a little creepy to me. Why would powder be preferred to real fresh foods?

This feels a little creepy to me. Why would powder be preferred to real fresh foods? I got the impression this wasn't to replace fresh foods, it was to replace MREs.

MRE's replaced fresh foods a long time ago. Some might call it progress but it feels like experimentation on our troops. One day it might be the norm but now it feels like science fiction.

I think it is a good idea in general. Few people even begin to know what they are deficient in or how to get these nutrients, and with army food it can be a real hassle. (my husbands father used to be in charge of army rations) and the more "less spoilable" it is and the more specific the nutrients to target the person the better.
Obviously it is more of a dream at the moment... but it would solve a lot of problems.
