If you celebrate this event, how will you do it? I have much for which I can be thankful: - I'm still alive and in reasonably good health; - The country where I live experiences relative peace; - I get to talk to my wife and kids on a daily basis; - My immigration into the USA is almost complete; - I should be together with my family by my wife's upcoming birthday; - I can still keep myself busy most times so I don't have time to feel alone; - People at work, in my music band, and in my online social groups appreciate my presence and input.
It may be too cold to jump the bonfire. It may be too wet for a bonfire. And it isn't going to be much fun to scorch my body hair all by myself. So I might observe this event by sacrificing a bottle of port.
What will you do?

Since we have only recently bought a flat together my girlfriend and I decided to have a private ritual at home. Satanists from the LaVeyan strand often view Walpurgisnacht as a kind of Satanic new year. We are not fully LaVeyan but there was an element of that in our ritual; a new start together etc... Personally I still see this time of year as primarily a fertility festival and while we are not intending to produce any more offspring I see this time as a boost to general creativity.
