Confirmation Bias allows us to find meaning and patterns where objectively none can be found. Quite prominent examples of this all-too-human psychological trait is the recognition of number patterns like 11:11 and 12:12. We are naturally predisposed to remember such patterns more clearly, with our brains hoping to find hidden meanings and secrets. It's a survival skill. Confirmation Bias also causes magical thinking, primarily through retrofitting actual occurences into fitting past actions, whilst selectively forgetting about those actions that don't fit e actual occurences. What patterns do you discern, and how does that affect your thoughts?
