And now, I'm an addict. I started learning flow about a month ago, and last week at my 1 year anniversary of my favorite festival, I lit up. My own fire poi are now on the way, and I've been using my glow poi for practice in the meantime. I love love love fire. However, I will say~ Size does matter. The video posted, I was using medium poi. The following two nights I used light poi one of the guys let me borrow. I set my hair on fire both nights. Also, it's very hard to fully ignite your hair/body without some sort of catalyst (like hair spray, which I don't use). There are more videos floating around of me from this past event, and I'm going to try and get my hands on them. ^_^ Post your fire pictures/videos, too! www.dropbox.com/s/913quma8x98btrm/IMG_1968.MOV

Thanks for the vid. Do you do it at Beltane or New Year's Eve, by any chance?

No, this video was from a couple of weeks ago at the Autumn Meet. I will be spinning this Friday for the Tribal Burn opening ceremony that's being hosted by the dance studio. More videos have been uploaded, I just need to grab the info from my friend. I think he even has one of me setting my hair on fire. The last two weeks have been spent learning new tricks and transitions. If anyone interested in poi, I recommend sock poi or pod poi. They're soft and don't hurt as much when you smack yourself in the face. <_<

I think fire spinning is something that is never "mastered" because there's always more to show off. lol

Very cool! I especially had to watch and see, because some friends of mine recently took up "playing with fire" and I wondered if you knew them! =D

I'm the exact opposite end of the country. I don't even know all the spinners in my own city...
