Well Allpaths has been going for just over a month now and after the initial enthusiasm and excitement, posting and participation in general seems to have slowed down to a trickle...
Any suggestions as to why? Is it just the summer?
I think many of us would really like to see this place take off and become successful, but I think maybe something isn't quite working...

The reality is action draws action...the more we post, the more other people will respond. The reality is we could all do more to help that, but it is a catch 22, when you don't see much going on you don't seem to want to post much either.

I want to keep talking, but there's only so much talking I can do to myself before everyone will start questioning my sanity.

I have a couple of post ideas, and I am going to rock those into action sometime this coming week. I have not really had time to sit down and have a deeper think about some of the topics. I think a little of the excitement has died down. Sure it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere... it also is August, which is a busy month for a lot of people in both hemispheres. Put forward posts and topics and action will follow. Right now I am baking cookies, though.

I'll try and think of some topics... I'm not too keen on the really trivial ones though.

I've been pretty busy myself. But I try to peek in to read at least once a day.

Trivial topics always get people posting (what's on your mind, game threads, etc.) Posting complaints about people not posting seems to always get people posting too.
I've never really understood this idea that if a forum isn't busting at the seams with activity 24/7 that it is somehow a bad thing. I'd quite frankly rather have a ton of interesting, informational posts (even if it's only one post a week) than a ton of silly posts. Otherwise it's just a more static form of facebook.

I agree with Sita. I would rather have each of our members post once a week, and have it spawn an interesting, entertaining, and educational conversation (or all 3 at once, if possible!), than divulging into Facebook. I am a member of the Pagan Parenting group on G+. People rarely post there. But when they do, it's usually quite interesting. Let's value quality over quantity!

Summer is always busy for me off-line, I pop in when I can

I prefer to see fewer more meaningful posts then a whole lot of trivial ones myself.

I've been busy planning a wedding. Every time I think of logging in, I get distracted by something shiny. Post more shiny things!
