I came across this recipe on Youtube the other day, and decided to give it a try:
It's super easy to make, and super yummy!
The recipe is:
2 eggs, beaten 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 cup milk 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Mix everything together. Fill frying pan about halfway with oil, and heat it up. Test the oil with a drop of batter. It should float and bubble immediately if the oil is hot enough. Pour the batter into the oil in a circular pattern. Fry for about a minute and a half on each side, until golden. This recipe should yield 4 funnel cakes. I cut it in half when I made it and it made 2.

I'll have to try that because I've (gasp) never had funnel cake before.

I'd never had it before, either. It looked like funnel cake I've seen before, though, and BF said it tasted right, so I'm trusting him. I ate mine plain because I have to watch my carbs/sugar, but I put fresh strawberries and powdered sugar on his. He was a bit confused when I served it for breakfast, though, lol.

Neither of you have ever had funnel cake!?!?!?!? My all time favorite from the county fair food! Thanks for posting this recipe. I will try it.

Nope. We have mini donuts at our fairs.

We were always that family that took sack lunches with us to the fair. No fair food for us.
