Stuff and things. Also, hopefully a weekend away as soon as the kittens aren't being bottle fed. ^___^

I'll be thrilled once all three figure out how to actually drink from the bottle. <_< Droppers are messy. Just saw your post in the pets thread. That's a tricky age to get onto a bottle. I have a 7 1/2 week old that I've had since she was 2 days old, and one that's a bit older that was brought in at around 2 1/2 weeks. Younger one took the bottle right away, no problem, but the older one took some time to get used to it. The younger one has some developmental issues, she's finally starting to catch up, but she's really tiny. I suspect a mild case of CH, but haven't taken her into the vet yet because the vet our rescue uses is terrible and I don't think he'll be able to tell me anything. half the time, his answer is to just accuse people of poisoning their pets. We're planning on adopting her, and I'll have her checked out by my awesome vet soon.

Spent the past several hours trying to fix an ancient computer for a family friend. The last time I worked on that computer was over 2 years ago, and I upgraded the hardware as much as I could, but it was already on it's last legs. Today, I just worked on software issues. Lots of registry issues, and it was taking over 15 minutes just to shut down, which I couldn't figure out exactly why, but was able to fix it by tweaking the registry. It appears to be virus-free, although I wanted to try a few other scanners, but he has a data cap and I didn't want to download too much and risk costing him overages. I may just download them to a flash drive at home and take it over to install there, if I feel up to it.

While computers do not age gracefully their life can be prolonged if one does switch to another OS. Are they running Windows or Linux based? Because software and registry issues are less common on Linux based OS's.

I wish McAfee would stop testing the pages that have loaded... I know the pages never studied for the test anyway

Because software and registry issues are less common on Linux based OS's. It's Windows XP, switching to Linux is out of the question because the computer owner is elderly and is just barely learning to use a Windows PC. He would be so far beyond lost with a Linux based OS. Mostly, he uses the computer for free dating sites and porn, so he really just needs some good anti malware software.

BF is in a grumpy mood. His check wasn't in today's mail like it was supposed to be, and he already had plans for spending it today. Now he's freaking out, and I think we just need to wait and see if it comes tomorrow.
Edit: And of course, I realized that the post office is stopping Saturday mail delivery starting this week, so there won't be any mail tomorrow. Which means we wait until Monday, and spend all weekend with about $2 in the bank. Great.

More day shifts for the honey, which means he's on call all night. I hardly get to see him. *sigh*

It won't add a comment when I "quote". That's annoying.
