This forum is not meant to be a sanctuary. If you want to avoid criticism and ridicule, go post on your blog. The internet provides plenty of free and paid services that are happy to stroke your ego.
Now I'm not saying that you will be criticized and that you will be ridiculed. I'm just warning you that it might happen. It might not, too.
Personally, I have taken the stance that me taking offense, probably teaches me something about myself. Of course you could be the victim of a troll, pushing your buttons. If you believe that is the case, report it, and the staff will have a look. Or, troll back. Usually not the best way to get rid of a troll, but incredibly pleasing.
